A visit with Santa in Roseland; Foreclosure Sunday with Danny Davis; WVON considers the legacy of Harold Washington
A visit with Santa: TANF mothers who have achieved employment often become the working poor and do not have the means to provide their children with the time and cost for a picture with Santa, toys or stockings,” says Sheryl Holman of Community Assistance Programs of Roseland. CAPs provides employment training and job placement services for TANF recipients, ex-offenders, older youth, and other unemployed populations — and Saturday the group hosts its annual “Moment with Santa” for all CAPs clients, with Christmas stockings and a picture with Santa for the children. Saturday, December 15, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at CAPs in Roseland at the Halsted Indoor Mall, 115th and Halsted. Info at 773-468-1993.
