Hank's Back!

Last year’s pub crawl was the opportunity to hear stories (and tell a few) at the city’s reporter hangouts extraordinaire: Billy Goat Tavern, Phil Stephani’s (the former Riccardo’s, whence Rick Kogan got his name), and Andy’s Jazz Club. How could we top that, we asked ourselves?

By bringing back Workshop co-founder Hank DeZutter, of course! Hank and Rick will help us crawl this historic path from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday October 8. Space is limited so make sure you register. The $25 registration fee includes a gift and snacks at Phil Stafani's 437 Rush.

Thanks for everyone who came out to join us for our first Nitty Gritty Pub Crawl where we kicked-off the evening with tales and a toast from Rick Kogan at the Billy Goat Tavern and heard from Don Rose at Stefani's (formally known as Riccardo's, where we found out is where Rick Kogan's parents had met and which he was named after). We closed the evening with some fine jazz at Andy's and and more untold stories of these historical landmarks for Chicago's news makers from Workshop President Thom Clark.
