The mission of the Cancer Support Center is to provide FREE comprehensive resources that help people improve their quality of life during the cancer experience. In a warm, home-like setting, our programs are for cancer patients, their family, friends, children and the bereaved. All programs are FREE of charge: support groups, individual and family counseling, wellness programs (nutrition, yoga, tai chi & qi gong), relaxation programs (meditation, massage, guided visualization), resource center/lending library and more!

Jewish Child and Family Services (JCFS), provides service to children and families throughout the Chicago area, by offering hope and healing, infused with Jewish values to strengthen our community.
JCFS provides services, ensuring the community’s mental health and social service needs are met.
Five categories of service include: Childcare and Education offering innovative educational and therapeutic methods to enhance every child’s ability to learn and communicate effectively; Residential and Child Welfare Services offering short-term relief, residential support, permanent housing, and substitute parenting for children, teens, and adults; Counseling and Support helping children, teens, adults, couples, and families live satisfying lives; Services to People with Disabilities, with programs such as respite, social and educational programs, consultation and assessment; and Support for Communities to those facing emotional, psychological, health, and developmental issues, including such programs as Holocaust Community Services, the Jewish Healing Network and its Chemical Dependency Program, and Life Education Network.

For forty years, the Jewish Council on Urban Affairs (JCUA) has been combatting poverty, racism, and anti-Semitism in partnership with Chicago's diverse communities.
From its inception through today, JCUA has brought a Jewish voice and Jewish community involvement to efforts that help build coalitions, promote advocacy, and address issues that affect Chicago's most at risk communities. JCUA supports issues such as affordable housing, job creation, community reinvestment, civil liberties, criminal justice and immigration rights.

Jobs for Youth
Jobs For Youth/ Chicago, Inc. (JFY) helps young men and women from low-income families become a part of the economic mainstream; and, in the process, provides the business community with motivated job-ready workers. JFY offers pre-employment training, GED preparation and job placement services to youth that are between the ages of 17 and 24. Ninety-six percent of their clients are African American and Latino.
Established in 1979, JFY has helped over 24,000 deserving youth enter the workforce. In the last year, more than 1000 positions have been filled with over 400 Chicago-area employers. The average starting wage is $8.13 per hour. For more information call (312) 499-4778 or visit www.jfychicago.org.

The Junior League of Kane and DuPage Counties, Inc. is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
