MAAP Services for Autism & Asperger Syndrome
We are dedicated to providing information and advice to families of More Advanced individuals with Autism, Asperger Syndrome, and Pervasive Developmental Disorder (PDD). Through our newsletter, The MAAP, our organization provides the opportunity for parents and professionals to network with others in similar circumstances and to learn about more advanced individuals with autism.

McHenry County Music Center
The McHenry County Music Center's McHenry County Youth Orchestra is in it's 25th year of operation. Formed in 1994, the Contemporary Children's Choir of McHenry County consists of four choirs, Cantate, Chamber, Chorale, Concert and Treble Choir. CCC was formed in 1994 as an outreach of the McHenry County Youth Orchestra and Community Arts Center. CCC are in our tenth season and are one of many programs offered by the McHenry County Music Center. MCMC offers early childhood music programs based on the beliefs that every child is musical, every parent is the child's most important teacher, the home is the most important place for learning to take root and grow, and that based on research, music. The McHenry County Music Center (MC)2 offers private instruction in orchestral instruments, piano, guitar, voice and musicianship at our facility in Crystal Lake. Four private studios and one larger rehearsal room/classroom are available for lessons. Lessons may be offered for any instrument where we have potential students totaling at least three hours of instruction. Lessons may be scheduled during the day (for pre-school and home-school students and adults with flexible schedules), after school, and evenings.

MCIC (Metro Chicago Information Center)
MCIC is a Chicago-based not-for-profit research, information, and consulting resource committed to increasing the quality, quantity, and accessibility of information about quality of life issues, human needs, and social conditions. Looking for data about metro Chicago to support funding requests, marketing efforts or a strategic plan? The FREE resource, Metro Chicago Facts OnLine, aggregates U.S. Census data and other datasets, generates custom reports to track demographic, social and economic changes from 2000-2005 and 2005-2010.

MEANS
Mission East Asian National Support (MEANS) serves as an indigenous mission support society by matching the resources of US donors primarily in Asia or sent from Asia. MEANS is a 501(c)(3) charitable, evangelical mission organization dedicated to promote the spread of the gospel of Jesus Christ among the people in East Asians worldwide.

Midwest Save Our Ancestors Remains & Resources Indigenous Network Group Foundation
Midwest Save Our Ancestors Remains & Resources Indigenous Network Group Foundation, (Midwest SOARRING Foundation) is a Native-based, not-for-profit organization formed in November of 1996. Our mission is to offer assistance, when asked, as a facilitator to the tribes regarding repatriation concerns, educate the public about various Native American issues including repatriation, cultural and environmental issues and building community among all people. Our goal is to widen the knowledge of native plants and their uses and in the future, form trade of seeds and plants among different Tribes, while also working toward building a re-created working village where members, as well as family, friends and visitors can enjoy a sampling of our rich heritage.

MIKE (Minority Intervention and Kidney Education)
The American Kidney Fund established the MIKE Program to address the alarming rates of chronic kidney disease and related conditions in African American, Hispanic, Native and Asian-American communities. MIKE has a local office offering screenings in the Chicago area.

Muscular Dystrophy Association
MDA is a voluntary health agency – a dedicated partnership between scientists and concerned citizens aimed at conquering neuromuscular diseases that affect more than one million Americans. Since its founding in 1950, MDA has provided comprehensive medical services to tens of thousands of people with neuromuscular diseases at more than 200 hospital-affiliated clinics across the country. Right here in the Chicagoland area, more than 3,500 families receive top-notch medical care at one of five MDA supported clinics or MDA/ALS centers every year. MDA also sponsors research in neuromuscular disorders, including nine forms of muscular dystrophy, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease), myasthenia gravis, spinal muscular atrophy, and others. Currently, MDA has awarded research grants to nine teams of scientists and physicians in Chicago. In addition to providing public awareness of the effects of neuromuscular disease, MDA sends more than 150 Chicago area children with neuromuscular diseases to MDA summer camps each year at no charge to the families.
