Teatro Vista, Theatre With A View is firmly committed to sharing and celebrating the riches of Latino culture with all Chicago theatre audiences. This commitment stems from the belief that there are as many similarities as there are differences, and that perhaps the answer to breaking down the walls of prejudice and stereotypes lies in understanding these differences. Ultimately, it is through this “view” that Teatro Vista intends to bridge the gap between Latino and non-Latino cultures in Chicago. The Chicago Foundation for Education
In 1985, a group of concerned citizens led by Joyce Rumsfeld began the Chicago Foundation for Education (CFE) in order to improve and enhance the educational experience provided to Chicago’s public elementary school children by the educators who serve, guide, and teach them. Over two decades later, CFE’s ultimate goal remains to improve student achievement by directing our programs at the teacher level.
CFE currently offers four grant-based programs that play a pivotal role in increasing student achievement and improving instruction by providing unique opportunities for teachers at every stage of their career. Our programs honor effective teaching and provide leadership opportunities for exceptional teachers to mentor their peers and replicate best practice through collegial support networks.

The Cure JM Foundation, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization, was created specifically to find a cure, provide support and information for families suffering from Juvenile Myositis. JM is a rare autoimmune disease that affects 5,000 children causing a variety of debilitating symptoms. Some children may experience a remission, while others battle JM their entire life and complications can prove fatal. The organization is 100 % volunteer.
